Dr. Elisa Leal

Assistant Director of Training

PSYCHOLOGIST (28330)

Clinical Supervisor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

I believe every single person on Earth is truly capable of change, and specialize in helping individuals navigate through periods of high stress in their life. I try to create a therapeutic space where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgment, so that we can discover the power you already hold to change your life for the better. I ground myself in cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, but overall I typically take a laid-back and less structured approach than other therapists might. This approach allows us to be flexible in our focus from session to session while still working toward your overall therapy goals. I love providing affirming therapy for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Although I work with all genders and affirm all gender expressions, I hold a specialization in working with men around masculinity and shame.

In addition to my role as a therapist, I also serve as the Assistant Director of Training, overseeing Framework’s various training programs, and work as a clinical supervisor as well. I tend to take a developmental approach to my training roles, helping my trainee’s tap into their innate strengths.

Outside of my life as a therapist, I enjoy engaging in expressive arts and attending film festivals.
