Dr. Florsheim is a White, cisgender, queer, culturally Jewish woman who grew up in the California Bay Area. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Prior to joining Framework, she trained in a variety of private practice, community mental health, and college counseling settings. Dr. Florsheim is a self-reflective, curious, empathic yet direct clinician who is adamant about putting relationships at the forefront of her work. To that end, she largely works psychodynamically, and is a firm believer that the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist can lead to meaningful and long-lasting change. Dr. Florsheim is dedicated to social and racial justice, and she keeps systemic and cultural factors firmly in mind whenever she is in the room with a client. Dr. Florsheim is passionate about providing identity-affirming care; particularly to those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
