Dr. Benton joins Framework after graduating from Pepperdine University and completing clinical training at the University of California Irvine. She views each client as the expert in their own life and seeks to understand a client's unique background in order to help them thrive in the next chapter. Her goal is to build a collaborative and empathic therapeutic relationship where each client can feel safe to share, explore, and receive gentle feedback. By utilizing CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, and multicultural interventions, clients are able to increase their authenticity, resilience, and empowerment. As a former teacher, she loves to share resources for learning at her client’s own pace and comfort level. Although Dr. Benton treats a wide range of concerns, she specializes in anxiety, depression, social anxiety, people with disabilities, LGBTQ issues, and introverts. Her self-care practices include going for walks, listening to podcasts, crafting, watching movies, and spending time with her family and cat. Dr. Benton is a postdoctoral psychological associate under the supervision of Dr. Leal (28330)
