Tamara Siblani, M.A.

practicum counselor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

In my work with clients, I focus on small, meaningful changes that can lead to broader shifts over time, helping clients experience for themselves that change is possible. I aim to meet each person within the context of their lived experience and show genuine interest in their story, rather than offering support that feels disconnected from who they are.

I place strong value on building a client’s sense of self and confidence so that insight gained in session translates into empowerment outside of it. While we may work toward concrete goals, I prioritize the quality of the therapeutic relationship, trusting that direction often emerges naturally. Through guided conversation, I support clients in deepening self-understanding, which I see as the foundation for lasting change.

Above all, I prioritize empathy over sympathy—staying present with clients in their most difficult moments without rushing to fix or reframe their experience. I believe being deeply seen and understood can itself be healing.

A typical session is shaped by what feels most present for the client. I usually begin with a tailored check-in and adjust my approach based on what feels most helpful. Early on, I often explore family relationships to better understand a client’s emotional world and background. Throughout sessions, I aim for clients to lead the conversation while I offer reflections, connections, or skills when they naturally fit. Depending on the moment, we may end with a practical goal or simply an invitation to notice what emerges between sessions.

I’m a practicum counselor supervised by Dr. Chi (35946). Clients are welcome to reach out to Framework’s Assistant Director of Training, Dr. Leal, for any questions or concerns.
