Jessalyn Nguyen, M.A.

Practicum counselor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel safe to speak openly and explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. My approach is collaborative, conversational, and tailored to each client’s individual needs, grounded in warmth, curiosity, and authenticity.

Sessions often begin by checking in on current stressors, goals, or experiences that feel most important in the moment. From there, we may explore emotional patterns, underlying beliefs, or recurring challenges while working together to build greater insight, develop coping strategies, and identify practical tools that can be applied outside of therapy.

I value authenticity and curiosity within the therapeutic relationship and aim to create an environment where clients feel both supported and gently challenged in ways that encourage reflection, resilience, and meaningful growth. My hope is to help clients better understand themselves, navigate life’s difficulties with greater clarity, and move toward lasting change.

I have experience working with neurodiverse populations and supporting clients navigating anxiety, stress, and adjustment-related concerns, particularly among young adults and college students. I also work with individuals facing depression, self-esteem difficulties, identity development, relationship and interpersonal challenges, as well as life transitions and academic stress.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine. I am currently earning my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Alliant University.

I’m currently a practicum counselor supervised by Dr. Chi (35946) and Dr. La Brie. Clients are welcome to reach out to Framework’s Assistant Director of Training, Dr. Leal, for any questions or concerns.
