Melinda La Brie, M.A.

Psychological associate (94029058)

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions through both individual and couples therapy. I like to start sessions by attending to immediate needs, staying flexible, and making space for whatever is coming up for you in the moment. I also value following up on goals, life developments, and personal observations from previous sessions. Self-compassion is a key part of growth, so I often explore how clients practice it and brainstorm new ways to incorporate it into their lives.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a sexual health educator, and I bring a sex-positive approach to my work. I affirm LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as those engaged in kink, non-monogamy, and/or sex work. I aim to create a warm, judgment-free, and relaxed space where you can safely process your feelings, explore yourself, and discuss any experiences or interests that might have contributed to shame or marginalization.

I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and am currently completing the final year of training required for my Doctorate. My Doctoral dissertation looks at how gaming intersects with identity, social skills, and mental health. When I’m not in session, I enjoy playing video games, board games, and Dungeons & Dragons.

I’m currently a psychological associate (94029058) supervised by Dr. LeCroix (32449). Clients are welcome to reach out to Framework’s Assistant Director of Training, Dr. Leal, for any questions or concerns.
