Shefali Dutt, M.S.W.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (127775)
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Healing does not happen in isolation, and I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can help people step into more authentic lives and build confidence in navigating life's challenges. I strive to make psychotherapy a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can deepen trust in yourself and explore all aspects of your identity. I bring warmth and curiosity to our work together, while gently challenging patterns that keep you stuck.
Our sessions are collaborative and centered on what feels most important to you. I like to give you space to explore whatever feels most present, while offering practical tools and guidance to help you move toward the values and goals we identify together. We may examine your past experiences, emotional patterns, and ways of coping, while also considering how broader systems and forms of oppression shape difficult experiences of distress, shame, or loneliness.
I provide individual therapy for adults and help my clients work through concerns such as difficult life transitions, identity development, relationship issues, burnout, and trauma. I enjoy working with clients who care deeply about understanding themselves and are open to exploring their inner world with compassion. Therapy is not “one size fits all” and my therapeutic approach is tailored to each client, though I typically draw from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-informed modalities.
I’m a graduate of UC Berkeley and USC, where I received my Master’s in Social Work. Before joining Framework, I trained in social services, high school, and university settings. Outside of my work as a therapist, I feel most restored when I’m engaging in creative expression, practicing yoga, and spending time in nature.
