For many in our community, it's important they know their therapist not only accepts them, but has a deep personal understanding for the unique aspects of their life shaped by the identities they hold.
On a personal level:
Several of our therapists know what it's like to move through the world as members of the LGBT community. Although we may use our personal experiences to better collaborate with you, we honor that your own unique identities may create an experience that is different than our own.
On a professional level:
As psychologists, professors of human sexuality, and LGBT activists, we're dedicated to remaining knowledgeable and affirming of experiences of gender, sexuality, and relationship structure unique to the LGBT community. Our early life experiences are unique, our journeys towards self-actualization are unique, and the ways in which we love one another and navigate our relationships are unique. It's important your therapist knows this.

Life gets busy. LA traffic is a nightmare. Work can tie you up at the last minute.
We want to make our services as accessible as possible for you!
We’re proud to offer the latest health technology to keep you connected to your psychologist.
Online therapy allows you to videochat (“Skype”) with your psychologist from wherever you may be.
It’s effective. Studies have consistently shown that clients improve in online therapy just like they do in traditional in-office therapy.
It’s secure. Our videochat platform is encrypted and HIPAA-compliant.
It’s convenient. You’ll receive an email confirmation after booking. Simply click the link from any laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
It’s covered by your insurance. Large Internet-based companies advertise online counseling that requires you to pay a costly monthly subscription for just a few minutes with a therapist. Our services are covered by your insurance.
*Online therapy is only available to individuals who are residents of California*

ADHD is an incredibly impactful condition that is often misunderstood by others. ADHD can feel like you're working twice as hard to get half as far. Unfortunately, all too often our society sends the message that those with ADHD are "lazy underachievers" who are "faking it" and simply need to "work harder."
This societal message couldn't be further from the truth! ADHD is a neurological condition that alters your ability to maintain focus, stay organized, and shut out all the "extra noise" in your environment.
Common signs of ADHD include:
Short attention span
Procrastination and forgetfulness
Disorganization, messiness, or frequently misplacing belongings
Difficulty staying engaged in conversation
Impulsivity or hyperactivity
Self-criticism and a poor view of yourself and what you can accomplish
If you believe you may have ADHD, a learning disorder, or any cognitive impairment, a cognitive assessment is critical to unlocking the keys you'll need to maximize your true cognitive potential. Once we've accurately identified your symptoms and their impact, we can work together to identify your best course of treatment, whether that includes ADHD coaching, medication, and/or accommodation (in school or on the ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, etc.).
Quality ADHD coaching delivered by a licensed therapist is a highly-effective treatment for ADHD. While no book should be considered a substitute for professional treatment, here are a few resources we recommend:
