Postdoctoral Psych. Assistant
Framework Associates is a rapidly expanding practice based in Santa Monica. We were founded on the principles of providing affordable, accessible psychological services from highly qualified psychologists. Current marketing strategies attract high functioning clients in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are experiencing phase of life issues, relationship concerns, or striving to achieve work/life balance.
Our postdoctoral fellowship is designed to help strengthen your outpatient clinical skills, developmentally foster your autonomy, and grow your identity as a private practice psychologist. This 12-month program provides all hours needed for psychologist licensure in California and starts 8/14/19.
Duties: Clinical duties include conducting intakes, providing individual and couples therapy for adults, as well as limited cognitive assessment.
Hours: FT @ 35 hrs/wk. Opportunity exists to work some hours from home.
Location: We are accepting one postdoc at our Santa Monica location and postdoc at our East Side LA location. We realize a cross-town commute would be a nightmare, so if you’re only interested in working at one of the two locations please let us know in your cover letter.
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive per-session fee provided. Your total income for FT work will be similar to other FT postdoc positions in local university counseling centers / community mental health centers. A small healthcare stipend is offered as well as paid sick leave. More detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
Supervision: Supervision is designed to meet California licensure requirements. Weekly primary supervision, professional development mentorship, and couples therapy consultation will be provided by licensed psychologists. Our supervision is grounded in a strengths-based relational approach that seeks to promote a collegial atmosphere with our postdocs.
To be considered, you MUST:
Have graduated with a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in psychology by the start date.
Have at least 1 year of prior experience providing individual and couples therapy to adults.
Provide LGBT-affirming clinical services & consider cultural sensitivity in your work.
Value the therapeutic relationship and strive to build strong rapport with each client, with the ability to retain referred clients in ongoing treatment.
Have experience providing clinical services from at least one of the following theoretical orientations: Interpersonal, Relational, Psychodynamic, or Humanistic.
Have experience administering the WAIS and WIAT. Experience administerring these tests using QGlobal iPads is preferred, but not required.
Provide efficient clinical services with timely documentation.
